Frequently Asked Questions

1. About my working methods

What sort of trips do you organise?
I design trips that combine culture, nature, gastronomy and authentic experiences. From bespoke itineraries to signature tours, each proposal aims to offer a unique experience that respects the destinations and is tailored to your interests and pace.

Do you organise bespoke trips as well as themed tours?
Yes, both. Tailor-made trips are tailored to your exact preferences, whilst themed trips are carefully selected itineraries inspired by stories, books, films or my own passions.

Can I just ask for advice without booking a full trip?
Of course. My consultancy service helps you plan, optimise and enhance your trip, even if you want to book it yourself.

Do you organise trips even if I’ve already arranged part of the trip?
Yes. I can incorporate existing bookings and enhance your trip with experiences, accommodation or itineraries that add value and coherence to your itinerary.

Do you work with solo travellers, couples and groups?
Yes, each project is tailored to the traveller’s or group’s circumstances: from solo getaways to family holidays or small groups with shared interests.

What sets Rumbo & Aventura apart from a traditional agency?
My approach is to be there for you before, during and after your trip, to listen to your interests and create experiences that will stay with you. I work with reliable suppliers, but the focus is on you and your travel story.

Do you also offer package holidays and standard trips?
Of course, thanks to my affiliation with Archer Travel I have access to the leading providers in the market, and you can ask me to organise any kind of trip, even if you just need a flight and a hotel.

It includes a comprehensive travel plan: itineraries, transport, accommodation, local experiences, and recommendations for food and culture. Everything is designed to help you make the most of your time and enjoy every moment.

Does the itinerary include bookings?
It depends on the type of service you’ve booked. I can offer strategic design only, or, if you’d like, I can handle bookings with trusted suppliers.

Can I commission the design and then make the booking myself?
Yes. The itinerary serves as a comprehensive guide: you decide which bookings to make yourself or with my help.

What sort of destinations do you work with?
Mainly European destinations and carefully selected experiences on other continents. It always prioritises authentic, sustainable places steeped in history that connect you with the local culture.

How long does it take to plan an itinerary?
Every itinerary is unique. It usually takes between 2 and 4 weeks, depending on the complexity, duration of the trip and level of personalisation.

What do I need to provide you with to get started?
Your interests, dates, approximate budget and any previous bookings. The more details you give me, the more accurate your itinerary will be.

4. Tailor-made trips and special experiences

What exactly is a writer’s journey?
A bespoke tour is an experience carefully designed by me, inspired by my own interests and passions. These are unique itineraries that combine culture, art, nature and authentic experiences, designed to allow you to experience the destination from a personal and enriching perspective.

Are these group or private trips?
Author-led tours are group and exclusive, with a limited number of places to ensure that each participant enjoys an intimate and personal experience, travelling accompanied by me.

What sort of experiences do you include?
Encounters with local culture, themed tours, literary or film-themed itineraries, workshops and unique activities that reflect my vision and passion for these destinations. Every detail is carefully planned to ensure the group enjoys a memorable and enriching trip.

Can I book a bespoke holiday?
Yes, as part of my itinerary design services, I can create a similar trip for a specific traveller. In that case, the itinerary will be tailored to your interests, but I won’t be accompanying you in person, as I am only available for my own author tours.

How can I find out about upcoming author tours?

Yes, my services cover European destinations and selected experiences around the world.

Is it better to ask for advice or for an itinerary to be drawn up?
